Tracks & Tales Events
A Tracks & Tales invitation
By Rafi Mercer
Most events are designed to be loud.
They rush to fill silence. They compete for attention. They mistake volume for meaning.
At Tracks & Tales, we do something quieter — and, we believe, more powerful.
This page is an open invitation.
An invitation to invite Rafi Mercer and the Tracks & Tales team into your space, your city, your venue, or your community — to design moments where listening becomes the centre of the room.
Not background.
Not an afterthought.
But the reason people gather.
We call these moments The Moments of Listening.
They are not tours.
They are not pop-ups.
They are not formats you scroll past and forget.
They are carefully shaped experiences — part ritual, part conversation, part shared silence — built around the simple idea that how we listen changes how we live.
What We Create
Every Tracks & Tales event begins with the same question:
What would happen if people truly listened — together — for an evening?
From there, the form adapts to the space, the city, and the people in the room. Past and proposed formats include:
Listening Sessions
Shared vinyl, tape, CD, or high-resolution digital listening — presented with commentary, without distraction, and without rush. Albums are chosen for their emotional architecture, not their popularity.
Bring Your Own Record Nights
Guests arrive with one piece of music that matters to them. Stories emerge naturally. No one speaks over the music. Everyone leaves having learned something about someone else.
City Sound Evenings
An exploration of what a city sounds like — through records, stories, and quiet context. These events often accompany Tracks & Tales city launches, cultural programmes, or travel partnerships.
The Gentle Rebellion Series
Conversations about listening in a noisy world — across music, design, architecture, hospitality, and modern life. Not panels. Not lectures. Thoughtful exchanges.
Private Listening Salons
Small-group experiences for brands, members, or private hosts who understand that intimacy creates impact.
Wedding and birthday occasions
There are moments that music means everything, we help shape those, but as a wedding or party DJ, but as curators of listening and experience.
Residencies & Takeovers
Short-term Tracks & Tales listening residencies inside cafés, listening bars, hotels, showrooms, or cultural spaces — subtly reshaping the atmosphere rather than branding the walls.
Where These Events Belong
We are deliberately selective about where we appear.
The best Tracks & Tales events happen in places that already care about atmosphere, restraint, and intention:
- Listening bars & vinyl cafés
- Independent hotels & design-led hospitality
- Hi-fi showrooms & sound-first spaces
- Cultural institutions & galleries
- Private homes with serious systems and open minds
If your space values attention over amplification, we’re already aligned.
Why Invite Us
Because audiences are changing.
People are tired of being shouted at.
They are craving moments that feel considered, human, and real.
They want experiences that stay with them — not content that disappears.
Inviting Tracks & Tales is not about scale.
It’s about signal.
It says something quietly confident about the host: that you understand culture is not always fast, that listening is a form of respect, and that presence is the rarest luxury left.
An Open Invitation
This page is not a booking form.
It is an open door.
If you are a venue, brand, cultural organisation, or private host — and you believe that listening deserves more space in the world — we would love to hear from you.
Tell us:
- where you are
- what kind of space you hold
- and why listening matters to you
We don’t arrive with a fixed package.
We arrive with attention.
Because the best events aren’t imposed.
They’re tuned.
Hope to chat soon.
