Kyoto held the top position at a hundred and eighty-nine views, down from its record June but still twenty views clear of Lisbon, which stayed second. New York climbed to a hundred and forty-two — its strongest month yet — while Osaka surged past Barcelona to sit fourth globally at a hundred and twenty-two. The big movers: Taipei nearly tripled, climbing from fifteen to forty-four. Athens doubled, reaching forty-three. Singapore returned strongly to twenty. Stockholm's alternate guide overtook the main guide — an unusual structural signal. The US section expanded substantially: Denver, Baltimore, St Louis, New Orleans, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta and others enter for the first time. Germany makes its city chart debut via Berlin. Nigeria, Ghana, and Andalusia appear. The map now covers forty-two countries.

FAQs

How is this different from a city guide directory? It isn't a directory — it's a readership chart. Every city here is one readers actively sought out and spent time with this month. It measures genuine curiosity about listening culture, not editorial selection.

Can I read the full guide for any of these cities? Yes — every entry links to the full city essay. Click any city name to read it.

What is The Listening Club? A global membership built around the culture these cities carry — one album a month, heard properly. Join here.
